About Me

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.”

— Lao Tzu, an ancient Chinese philosopher renowned for his profound insights on personal growth and the importance of taking the first step in any journey.

Hello! My name is Jacqueline Zamora, and I am a doctoral candidate in the Educational Technology Leadership program at New Jersey City University (NJCU). Before attending NJCU, I earned my bachelor’s degree from NYACK College, now called Alliance University, a master's degree in Bilingual/ESL/Supervisor and a Principal certification from William Paterson University, and a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDT-C) certification from Kean University. I have always had a deep desire to help others reach their fullest potential and to give back to the community. With the support and encouragement of my loving family, I decided to pursue my doctorate, fueled by my passion, motivation, and determination.

With almost two decades of experience in education, I have spent the last five years working as an LDT-C for the Jersey City Public Schools District. Additionally, I serve as an independent contractor learning consultant conducting academic evaluations for various public school districts in New Jersey. As a learning consultant, I specialize in collaborating with a team to plan appropriate special education programs for students who meet the criteria for learning disabilities and academic underperformance.

In my personal life, I am happily married and fortunate to have godchildren and a lovingly rescued Pit Bull named Penelope. I love spending quality time with my family, working out, and traveling. I am excited to embark on my second year as a doctoral candidate at NJCU, and I look forward to continuing my educational journey.
